RED CAMERA : Canular ou Alien ?

Un site tres mysterieux fait couler beaucoup d'encre en ce moment:

ils promettent une caméra aux performances incroyables
comme:

1. un capteur CMOS avec 4520x2540 pixels de resolution (mais quel est ce format... ?)
2. 60 fps en progressif
3. une multitude de formats d'enregistrement : Flash, DD, Bandes digitales etc....
4. du format RAW 4:4:4 ou du 4:2:2

Pourquoi penser a un canular?

Leur site est quasi en construction sur toutes les pages...
Aucune infos précise
des infos assez fantaisistes... des photos qui ne prouvent rien...
avec quels ordi, quel systeme et quel softs va fonctionner cet engin extraterrestre?
aucun contact

seule piste: rendez vous au NAB 2006 ... On verra bien...

ou alors veritable Alien? :

peut etre bien... !!!

La personne a l'origine de ce projet est en fait Jim Jannard qui est le fondateur et actuel dirigeant de la marque Oakley.

On peut ainsi penser qu'il n'oserait pas faire un gag de ce type et se ridiculiser ensuite.

il y a une autre raison qui credibilise le projet:

Jim Jannard est un passionné d’image et de technologie.

Il dialogue en personne directement avec ses futurs clients, par exemple sur le site DVinfo.net.

It is truly our intent to satisfy the market, not take advantage of it. This next year will be difficult and wildly interesting. We are not the only "start up" to take a stab at this. We give our best wishes to the others in hopes that we can all, in some way, move the market to a better place.

Our website is admittedly in the remedial stage. Look for advancements in the quality of the site at the same time we are making progress on the product development.
